What are PSB Fitness Circuit Traning classes? very simple circuit training are interval-style, it’s a very short routine where you do exactly what the name implies. furthermore, PSB Fitness Circuit Training it consists of stations where you work out one part of your body for 30 seconds to a minute. A circuit training can have up to 6 stations where you get to work out every major part of your body and it usually lasts for about 30 to 45 mins. You have a small break in between each station and the goal is to repeat each workout station about 4-5 times. It’s great and fast way to get your workout and to achieve goals you are trying to reach. Circuit Training is perfect for beginners and advanced gym bodies.

The levels of dance classes PSB offers

At PSB we have three different levels of dance. Beginner, intermediate and advanced/pro. This depends on your dancing skills and experience. However, you get to decide which class you want to take at which level. However, anyone can join any class they want. Even if you have no dance experience and want to join an advanced class you can! 

Beginner level  

At the beginner, level dances are easier to learn and catch on to. This is for people who have no dance experience and just started to dance and are still learning how to catch on to choreography. In this class, the moves will be at a slower pace and easier to learn.

Intermediate level 

This is for people who have little to some dance experience. Choreography will be faster than the beginner level but also easy to catch on to.  

Advanced/ pro level 

This class is for people who have been in the dance industry for a while. The choreography will be faster and a bit challenging. This class will also include more advanced moves and tricks.

If you specifically are trying to improve upon your overall physique, PSB is the place to start. New to working out! Try the Intensive group weight, training class.

Intensive group weight training

PSB is now offering a new intensive group weight training class designed for beginner trainers who want to train alongside others with little to even no experience. Though you may notice it’s considered an intensive program or class, don’t let that scare you away. The intensity progresses through each week of classes. We will first start by teaching you the basics of the equipment and how to perform the exercises with the correct form to avoid injuries. The class will run three times a week.  All three sessions being completely customizable to your personal schedule. Each day of the week will focus on different body movements. For example, day one will be push day, next day two pull day, and last day three core muscles.

Push, Pull, Core split meaning

The Push, Pull, Core split is a way of dividing the exercises into the movements and muscles trained each day.  Let’s say your customized schedule starts day one with pushing exercises. I will compose this of any exercise that involves pushing a weight away from your body. The muscles typically being trained within a push day are the chest, triceps, shoulders, quadriceps, and calves. Second, day two is pulling day which entails movements pulling weight towards your body.  This day works out the latissimus dorsi, trapezius, biceps, and forearms. Last, is the day targeting the core body which comprises abdominals, internal obliques, external obliques, and erector spinae.

Stretches are an essential part of a healthy daily lifestyle as your flexibility reflects your health and performance at the gym.

Punching Bag training is where students will learn how to push themselves past the limit and truly see what they are fully capable of, enhancing your strength, timing, coordination, mental strength, endurance, concentration, and determination.


In Face-to-face training, you will learn the basics and advancements in how to fight or defend yourself against someone, you will understand your ability to attack and defend yourself from someone.


Sparring will test your strength and potential against someone else, but you will still learn what approach to make and read what approach your opponent makes.

What is Vinyoga All About?

Vinyoga is a new Vinyasa yoga program, located in two convenient places in Brampton and Mississauga at the new PSB Fitness Centers in Sheridan College.  The program runs from Monday-Friday at 9 AM and 5 PM every day, so whether you prefer a morning workout, or an after-work exercise to end the day on a positive note, the choice is yours. We encourage both new and experienced yogis to join us for an hour-long session of concentration, balance, flexibility, and meditation. Vinyoga is in addition to 2 of our other heath and wellness programs we are offering at PSB fitness—Zumba and Bootcamp. Check out each program and compare to see which one is right for you!


Free Trials for New Members

Many people find a passion for yoga after only trying it a few times, which is why Vinyoga is offering 3 free trials to new members who want to come and see what we’re all about before committing to a membership.  After the free trials, a membership will cost only $20 per month, and PSB Fitness members will receive 20% off memberships. Our mission is to empower women to take part in trying something new that is out of their comfort zone. Vinyasa yoga—commonly referred to as “flow yoga” is one of the best yoga styles for beginners because it provides all the fundamental poses for yoga. The poses are held for a moment, and then switched to another pose in an almost dance-like fashion. Vinyasa yoga helps realize the impermanence of things in life when you are switching from each pose. This type of yoga focuses on using the breath as a guide to help move effortlessly between poses. Vinyasa yoga provides a cardio workout that is fast pace and will surely get your heart pumping. Each session is unique and offers different poses and techniques.

This program is available to women of all ages. Vinyoga is only for women because we want our members to feel comfortable to fully express themselves. We wish to provide an inspiring and safe place for women to workout. Yoga has many benefits for women including: reducing PMS symptoms, improving sex life, and helping with symptoms of anxiety. We encourage women to bring their friends along to this yoga experience to create a social and enjoyable session.

Ready to do some yoga? Pack up your yoga mat and head over to PSB Fitness at Sheridan College! Don’t have a yoga mat? Not a problem! We have all the yoga accessories you need including mats, blocks, and knee pads. All accessories are sanitized thoroughly before and after each use to ensure there is no spread of bacteria. We also have a water bottle filling station for reusable bottles with a drinking fountain for those rough days when you forget a water bottle. After each session we provide yogis with a healthy, light snack to compliment their yoga practice.

The intensity of the workout is completely customizable and causes less strain or injures then must other workouts. The mental benefits are just as good as the physical benefits. Cycling is also proven to decease stress levels as well as reducing anxiety and depression. Everything modern day college students need to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

You may be wondering what it’s like to take a pilates class at PSB. Well for starters pay per session group pilates class Mississauga  is a super fun group instructor lead class that is designed to strengthen muscles and improve posture and flexibility. At PSB fitness students will be able to choose from two types of classes, mat classes and reformer classes. To keep it simple mat classes will be done on a mat similar to ones used in yoga but a tad thicker. Reformer classes will be done using a machine called a reformer. What to expect

Each class will run anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour long depending on the session you attend. During this time you will be tackling a multitude of different exercises that work your abs, back, legs, and hips. If you choose the reformer classes you will be using other equipment in addition to the reformer.  In the majority of the classes you may be using the Magic Circle which is used to create resistance. The spine corrector which is used to help realign the spine, and the chair which is used to add intensity to the exercises.

Typical exercises you will be doing in the classes include, The Hundred which is a breathing exercise that helps to strengthen the core. The roll up which is a slow move that stretches the spine and helps strengthen the core. Leg circles which helps strengthen the hips, and many others. About PSB Fitness

PSB Fitness, was founded by two Sheridan College graduates, Jessie and Matt. Jessie has been a fitness instructor for seven years. Matt is a certified personal trainer with 5 years experience.  PSB Fitness will be operating two fitness centers on sight at Sheridan College’s HMC campus in Mississauga, and the Davis campus in Brampton. PSB Fitness will offer students the chance to participate in group fitness classes. These classes include, HIIT, Zumba, Pilates, CrossFit, yoga and many others.

At PSB Fitness, it’s understood that the majority of students don’t have the option to be spending large amounts of money on gym memberships or fitness classes. That is why students will be given the option to pay for each class they attend. They will also have the option to purchase a monthly unlimited access pass. The pay per class option will cost $12 and will give students the flexibility to attend the amount of classes they choose. The monthly access pass will cost $55 and give students the freedom to attend any of the available classes, as well as offer additional benefits to the pass holder.
